(74) Chapter: A woman travelling with a Mahram for Hajj and other purposes

باب سَفَرِ الْمَرْأَةِ مَعَ مَحْرَمٍ إِلَى حَجٍّ وَغَيْرِهِ ‏‏

Abu Sa’id (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:

A woman should not set out on three (days’) journey, but in the company of a Mahram.

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ سَهْمِ بْنِ، مِنْجَابٍ عَنْ قَزَعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ “‏ لاَ تُسَافِرِ الْمَرْأَةُ ثَلاَثًا إِلاَّ مَعَ ذِي مَحْرَمٍ ‏”‏ ‏.‏
