(102) Chapter: Recitation in the 'Isha prayer

باب الْقِرَاءَةِ فِي الْعِشَاءِ

Narrated Al-Bara:

I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) reciting wa t-teeni wa z-zaitun” (95) in the `Isha’ prayer, and I never heard a sweeter voice or a better way of recitation than that of the Prophet.

حَدَّثَنَا خَلاَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَدِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ، سَمِعَ الْبَرَاءَ، رضى الله عنه قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقْرَأُ ‏{‏وَالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ‏}‏ فِي الْعِشَاءِ، وَمَا سَمِعْتُ أَحَدًا أَحْسَنَ صَوْتًا مِنْهُ أَوْ قِرَاءَةً‏.‏
