(34) Chapter: Al-ihtiba with the hand

باب الاِحْتِبَاءِ بِالْيَدِ وَهُوَ الْقُرْفُصَاءُ

Narrated Ibn `Umar:

I saw Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) in the courtyard of the Ka`ba in the Ihtiba.’ posture putting his hand round his legs like this.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي غَالِبٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ الْحِزَامِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُلَيْحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِفِنَاءِ الْكَعْبَةِ مُحْتَبِيًا بِيَدِهِ هَكَذَا‏.‏
