(23) Chapter: What a woman can inherit of the Wala’ (in the book it is given women)

باب مَا يَرِثُ النِّسَاءُ مِنَ الْوَلاَءِ

Narrated Aisha:

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “The wala is for the one who gives the silver (pays the price) and does the favor (of manumission after paying the price).

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ سَلاَمٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ “‏ الْوَلاَءُ لِمَنْ أَعْطَى الْوَرِقَ، وَوَلِيَ النِّعْمَةَ ‏”‏‏.‏
