(51) Chapter: The times when it is forbidden to offer salat

باب الأَوْقَاتِ الَّتِي نُهِيَ عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ، فِيهَا ‏.‏

Ibn ‘Umar reported Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:

Do not intend to observe prayer at the time of the rising of the sun nor at its setting, for it rises between the horns of Satan.

وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ، نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، قَالاَ جَمِيعًا حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ “‏ لاَ تَحَرَّوْا بِصَلاَتِكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلاَ غُرُوبَهَا فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ بِقَرْنَىْ شَيْطَانٍ ‏”‏ ‏.‏
