12 The Book of Zakat

كتاب الزكاة

(50) Chapter: Zakat is forbidden for the messenger of Allah pbuh and his family, and they are Banu Hashim and Banu Al-Muttalib, and no one else

باب تَحْرِيمِ الزَّكَاةِ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَهُمْ بَنُو هَاشِمٍ وَبَنُو الْمُطَّلِبِ دُونَ غَيْرِهِمْ

This very hadith has been narrated on the authority of Sbu’ba with the same chain of transmitters.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ، أَبِي عَدِيٍّ كِلاَهُمَا عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، فِي هَذَا الإِسْنَادِ كَمَا قَالَ ابْنُ مُعَاذٍ ‏ “‏ أَنَّا لاَ، نَأْكُلُ الصَّدَقَةَ ‏”‏ ‏.‏
