65 Prophetic Commentary on the Qur'an (Tafseer of the Prophet (pbuh))

كتاب التفسير

(55) "The Messenger (Muhammad ﷺ) believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord..." (V.2:285)

باب ‏{‏آمَنَ الرَّسُولُ بِمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ رَبِّهِ‏}‏

Narrated Marwan Al-Asghar:

A man from the companions of Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) who I think, was Ibn `Umar said, “The Verse:– “Whether you show what is in your minds or conceal it….” was abrogated by the Verse following it.”

حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ، أَخْبَرَنَا رَوْحٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ مَرْوَانَ الأَصْفَرِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ أَحْسِبُهُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ـ ‏{‏إِنْ تُبْدُوا مَا فِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ أَوْ تُخْفُوهُ‏}‏ قَالَ نَسَخَتْهَا الآيَةُ الَّتِي بَعْدَهَا‏.‏
