Prophetic Commentary on the Qur'an (Tafseer of the Prophet (pbuh))

كتاب التفسير

(8) "When you were propagating it with your tongues, and uttering with your mouths that whereof you had no knowledge..." (V.24:15)

باب ‏{‏إِذْ تَلَقَّوْنَهُ بِأَلْسِنَتِكُمْ وَتَقُولُونَ بِأَفْوَاهِكُمْ مَا لَيْسَ لَكُمْ بِهِ عِلْمٌ وَتَحْسِبُونَهُ هَيِّنًا وَهْوَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ عَظِيمٌ‏}‏

Narrated Ibn Abi Mulaika:

I heard `Aisha reciting: “When you invented a lie (and carry it) on your tongues.” (24.15)

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، أَنَّ ابْنَ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَهُمْ قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ، تَقْرَأُ ‏{‏إِذْ تَلِقُونَهُ بِأَلْسِنَتِكُمْ‏}‏
