(52) Chapter: “A person who is perfect in reciting and memorizing the Qur'an will be with the honourable, pious and just scribes.”

بَابُ قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الْمَاهِرُ بِالْقُرْآنِ مَعَ الْكِرَامِ الْبَرَرَةِ»

Narrated Al-Bara’:

I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) reciting Surat at-Tin waz Zaitun (By the Fig and the Olive) in the `Isha’ prayer and I have never heard anybody with a better voice or recitation than his.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، أُرَاهُ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقْرَأُ فِي الْعِشَاءِ ‏{‏وَالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ‏}‏ فَمَا سَمِعْتُ أَحَدًا أَحْسَنَ صَوْتًا أَوْ قِرَاءَةً مِنْهُ‏.‏
