(17) Chapter: Supplication When Going To Sleep

باب مَا يَقُولُ عِنْدَ النَّوْمِ وَأَخْذِ الْمَضْجَعِ

This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of al-Bara’ b. ‘Azib that Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) commanded a person (in these words) and there is no mention of this:

” if you get up in the morning you would get up with a bliss.”

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَابْنُ، بَشَّارٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي، إِسْحَاقَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ الْبَرَاءَ بْنَ عَازِبٍ، يَقُولُ أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَجُلاً ‏.‏ بِمِثْلِهِ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ ‏ “‏ وَإِنْ أَصْبَحْتَ أَصَبْتَ خَيْرًا ‏”‏ ‏.‏
