(14) Chapter: Clarifying the superiority of Islam, and what part of it is best

باب بَيَانِ تَفَاضُلِ الإِسْلاَمِ وَأَىِّ أُمُورِهِ أَفْضَلُ ‏‏

It is narrated on the authority of Jabir that he heard the (Holy Prophet) say:

A Muslim is he from whose hand and tongue the Muslims are safe.

حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ الْحُلْوَانِيُّ، وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، جَمِيعًا عَنْ أَبِي عَاصِمٍ، – قَالَ عَبْدٌ أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، – عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا الزُّبَيْرِ، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرًا، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ ‏ “‏ الْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ ‏”‏ ‏.‏
