كتاب الْمَسَاجِدِ وَمَوَاضِعِ الصَّلاَةِ

(35) Chapter: Stern warning against missing the `Asr prayer

باب التَّغْلِيظِ فِي تَفْوِيتِ صَلاَةِ الْعَصْرِ ‏

Ibn Umar reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

He who misses the afternoon prayer, it is as though he has been deprived of his family and his property.

وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ “‏ الَّذِي تَفُوتُهُ صَلاَةُ الْعَصْرِ كَأَنَّمَا وُتِرَ أَهْلَهُ وَمَالَهُ ‏”‏ ‏.‏
